Born out of a commission from the city of Milan to make a portrait of African immigrant Abdullay Kadal Traore, Duet for Cannibals is a dialogue between Traore and the artist. Abdullay is presented with a drawing and asked if he would like to interpret what is shown for the commission: an erotic position he and Patrizio di Massimo could take. After initially accepting, he denies himself, indicating the limits one is disposed to go, even if paid. Courtesy T293, Naples.
